Basic Overview Instructions

1. First you must know what receiver make and model you own. This is required to download the appropriate files that will fit your receiver. In most cases you can find the receiver make and model directly on the front of it. Usualy it's a name (CoolSat, viewSat, etc.) followed by a model number (2000, 4000, 6100, etc.).

2. After you have your receiver make and model you must register on the site to gain access to the files for your receiver. This can be done underneith the Login where it says "Register" on the home page. Enter all your appropriate information including a username and password for when you return for new files. This is also the area where you need to enter your receiver make and model you found earlier. If you would like to reciever notifications through email whenever your receiver has a new file available make sure you click the check box.

3. Once you've entered everything and submitted it you will be able to download the files. Whenever you log in to the site's file section it will always generate a listing of the most current files for the receiver you entered in at registration. The newest files will always be at the top. If you even need to change receivers to show different files you can visit your "Profile" page. The link to this page is listed at the bottom of the file list once you log in. Next you must choose the newest file at the top of the list by clicking on the link for it. You then save it to your computer where you'll unzip it. The unzipped version is the file that will be uploaded to your receiver.

4. To upload the file to your receiver you need to have the upload cable that should have been supplied with your receiver when you purchased it. You can also find a new one at any online Free To Air receiver store or ebay. The second thing you'll need is the software to upload the file with. This can be found in the Software & PDF page. After you've saved the software to your computer and unzipped it all you need to do is double click it to run it. This will open up a small loading program. From there you just need to make sure you've plugged your receiver into your computer and you'll be ready to upload the new file. With the receiver turned on click the browse button in the software program on your computer. Find and select the bin file you downloaded and unzipped earlier. The just choose to "Start" or "Connect" and the file will be uploaded to your receiver.

5. After the software has finished uploading you can close the program, turn off the receiver, and disconnect it from your computer. At this point you'll be able to watch TV...at least until the file goes down, at which time you'll need to come back to www.F2Afilez.com to get a newer one.

These instructions may not be the exact senario you need to follow for your receiver. They are just offered as a basic understanding of how this file process works. Please see the Software & PDF page for Step by Step instructions for your receiver and/or the Software to use to upload files to your receiver.
